Montréal Casino & Hotel

The complex occupies pavilions built for Expo 67 on Île Notre-Dame, in the river channel south of central Montréal. The former French pavilion, with its faceted aluminium walls and stepped section, carries most of the floors; the former Québec pavilion stands alongside and is joined to it. Water surrounds the island, and the approach is over a bridge from the Cité du Havre side.
Restaurants of several kinds occupy the upper levels, and a cabaret hall holds a programme of live music through the year. Terraces and window walls look back across the channel towards the city skyline and the Jacques-Cartier bridge.

Fallsview Casino Resort
6380 Fallsview Boulevard, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
Fallsview stands in the slope above the Niagara gorge, its levels stepped into the hillside so that the upper floors look out over the water. A covered walkway joins the building to the streets of the tourist district behind it, and a tower of guest rooms rises at the rear, set back from the edge of the escarpment. Much of the plan is below the street it is entered from.
There is a theatre used for seated concerts, a spa, a run of shops along an interior avenue, and restaurants at several levels of the slope. Glazed galleries follow the gorge side of the building.

River Rock Casino Resort
8811 River Road, Richmond, British Columbia, Canada
River Rock sits on the south arm of the Fraser at Richmond, with a marina at its foot and the airport a short distance to the north. Low blocks of guest rooms face the water and a taller wing stands behind them, on flat ground that was industrial before the complex was built. The rail line into Vancouver has a station at the door, so the address can be reached without a car.
A theatre with a flat floor takes touring performances, and there is a spa, a covered parking structure and a run of restaurants along the river side. A public walkway follows the bank past the moorings.

Casino Rama Resort
5899 Rama Road, Rama, Ontario, Canada
Casino Rama Resort stands on the lands of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, east of Lake Couchiching in central Ontario. The buildings are low and spread across open ground, with a hotel wing at one end and parking around the edges. Orillia lies a short drive to the west, and the approach is by county road through farmland and woodland rather than through a town.
An entertainment hall inside the complex holds seated concerts, and there are restaurants of several kinds, a spa and rooms for meetings. Wooded ground surrounds the buildings on the landward side, and the lake is a little way off.
